# introduction
I'm proud user of *BSD operating systems:
I regulary follow information on mailing-lists, blogs and IRC, but I'm particulary interested in development of DragonflyBSD and OpenBSD.Though, most of my daily time takes working with OpenBSD and FreeBSD. For example, here's my OpenBSD case-painted home router.
I also use some variants of these main BSD's like PC-BSD and custom LiveCDs, but I don't think they are worth mentioning.
# history
I've been using BSD's since 90-ies for more than 10 years. I remember installing FreeBSD 2.2.x, but my first BSD was NetBSD 1.2.x.
You can check bsd-family-tree to look into BSD's development and descendants over the years.
# contribution
My direct contributions to these operating systems are pretty small (I guess you can't count that painted case; see above). For now.
But currently I'm mostly involved in FreeBSD's ports. I'm sending patches and being maintainer for devel/geany.
